Slimo Support
Slimo is made for children aged 3-8, so this page is written for the grown-ups. If your question is not answered here, write to us and a human will reply.
1The basics
What is Slimo?
A calm slime coloring game for children aged 3-8. Your child picks a drawing, pours glossy slime with a finger, decorates it with glitter and stickers, and the finished picture is saved to their own gallery on the device.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. All the drawings are included in the app and Slimo works fully offline, including in airplane mode. The network is only used if you choose to make or restore a purchase.
Are there ads?
No. Slimo contains no advertising of any kind — no banners, no video ads, no reward ads and no promotion of other apps.
Does my child need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no profile. Slimo collects no personal data at all.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 15 or later, and modern Android phones and tablets.
2Purchases
What is free and what costs money?
Two picture categories are free, plus a surprise picture that Slimo brings once a day. The remaining categories can be unlocked with optional one-time purchases: three themed packs, or a single 'Unlock Everything' purchase that includes them all and any pictures we add in later free updates.
Is there a subscription?
No. Slimo has no subscription, no virtual currency, no gems and no loot boxes. Every purchase is a one-time unlock that stays unlocked.
Can my child buy something by accident?
No. Every purchase sits behind a parental gate, shown before any price is displayed: a multiplication question (for example 13 x 6) with an on-screen number pad. Times tables above ten are not taught until after this age group, and a wrong answer just shows a new question. If your child taps a locked picture, Slimo simply asks them to fetch a grown-up. You can also reach the gate yourself from Settings > Parents.
How do I turn purchases off completely?
On iPhone or iPad: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases, and set In-app Purchases to Don't Allow. On Android: open Google Play, go to Settings > Authentication and require authentication for every purchase, or use a Google Kids Space / Family Link profile.
I bought a pack and it is not showing on my new phone.
Open the parent screen inside Slimo and tap 'Restore purchases'. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account that made the original purchase, and that it has an internet connection.
Can my other child use the packs on their own tablet?
Yes. Purchases support Family Sharing, so anyone in your family group can restore them on their own device at no extra cost.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. For iPhone and iPad, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android, use Google Play's refund request in your order history. If you tell us what went wrong we are happy to help you with the request.
3Using the app
How do I turn the sound off?
Tap the round gear button in the top-left corner of the main screen to open Settings, then tap the round music button. It silences both the sound effects and the background music, and the setting is remembered next time. You can also change the language there.
My child painted outside the lines and got upset.
Each picture can be opened in one of two modes. 'Magic Fill' is for the youngest children — tapping an area fills it neatly and it is impossible to go wrong. 'Free Brush' gives real finger painting with the slime kept inside the outline. You choose the mode each time a picture is opened.
Where are my child's finished pictures?
In the in-app gallery. Every completed painting is added as a new framed artwork — repainting the same drawing does not overwrite the earlier one, so the collection builds up over time. The images are stored in the app's private storage on the device.
Will artwork survive if I delete the app?
No. Everything is stored only on the device, so deleting the app permanently removes the artwork, progress and settings. Nothing is kept on our servers, so we cannot restore it for you.
What is the daily gift?
Once a day, Slimo the mascot brings a surprise picture. It is a small reason to come back and it sometimes includes a picture from a locked pack, so your child can try one before you decide about a purchase.
4Privacy and safety
What data does Slimo collect about my child?
None. No names, no e-mail, no location, no photos, no camera or microphone access, no advertising identifiers and no analytics. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Can my child talk to anyone or share pictures?
No. There is no chat, no comments, no profiles, no leaderboards and no sharing from inside the app. Your child cannot be contacted through Slimo.
Are there links that lead out of the app?
Only in the parent screen, behind the parental gate — the privacy policy and this support page. Nothing in the child-facing part of the app opens a browser or another app.
