Saycap Support
Saycap adds captions while you record and to videos you already have. Everything happens on your iPhone and there is no account. If your question is not answered here, write to us and a human will reply.
1Captions
How are captions made?
Saycap uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. While you record, captions appear live as a preview. When you stop, Saycap listens to the whole recording again and times every word, so the captions in your exported video are exact. Nothing is uploaded.
Which languages are supported?
Every language your iPhone supports for on-device speech recognition — around 45 languages and regions on iOS 26. Choose the spoken language in Settings, or with the language button in the editor. The first time you use a language, iOS downloads its speech model once; after that captions work offline.
A word is wrong. How do I fix it?
In the editor tap Edit text, then tap the word. Type the correction and tap Save. The timing stays in sync, and if you type several words the time is split between them. Leave it empty and tap Delete to remove a word.
It says “No speech found”.
Check that the spoken language is right — tap the language button in the editor and pick the language you spoke. Very quiet or music-only videos may have no speech to caption.
Live captions didn't show while recording.
The speech model for your language was probably still downloading. Your video is still recorded and captioned when you stop. Live captions appear on your next recording.
2Recording and Export
How long can a video be?
The free version captions videos up to 3 minutes. Saycap Pro has no length limit.
Where is my captioned video?
After exporting, tap Save to Photos or Share. Saycap also keeps your projects in the app, so you can change the style and export again at any time.
How do I move or resize the captions?
In the editor, drag the video up or down to move the captions. Use the size slider and the words-per-caption setting to change how much text is on screen.
How do I remove the watermark?
Free exports show a small Saycap label in a corner. Saycap Pro removes it from every export, including videos you export again later.
3Purchases
Is Saycap Pro a subscription?
No. Saycap Pro is a one-time purchase. You pay once and keep it. Family Sharing is supported.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Open Saycap, go to Settings or the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account — there is no Saycap account.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4Your Data
Where are my videos stored?
On your iPhone, inside Saycap. We have no server, so we never receive your videos, audio or captions.
How do I delete a video?
On the home screen, press and hold the video and tap Delete. Deleting the app deletes all of its videos. Videos you saved to Photos stay in Photos.
