Saycap Privacy Policy

1Your Videos and Captions

• Videos you record or import, their captions and your caption settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device (Apple SwiftData and local files).
• There is no Saycap server. Your videos, audio and captions are never uploaded to us and we never receive a copy of them.

2Camera, Microphone and Speech Recognition

• The camera and microphone are used only while you record in Saycap.
• Speech is turned into text on your device by Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your audio is not sent to us or to any third party for transcription.
• The first time you use a language, iOS may download Apple's speech model for it. This download comes from Apple and contains no recordings of you.
• If you translate captions, the translation is also made on your device by Apple's Translation framework. iOS may download the language pack from Apple the first time; your captions are not sent to us.
• You can decline or revoke camera and microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.

3Photos

• When you caption an existing video you choose it with Apple's photo picker, so Saycap can only see the videos you pick.
• Saving to Photos uses add-only access: Saycap can add your captioned video to your library but cannot read your library.

4No Account

Saycap has no accounts and no sign-in. There is nothing to create, and no profile of you is held on our side.

5Purchases

Saycap Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase made through Apple. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details. Saycap checks your purchase with Apple's StoreKit directly on your device and does not use any third-party purchase service.

6Analytics and Crash Reports

• Saycap does not include analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
• If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share crash reports and diagnostic data with us. This is controlled by you in iOS Settings, and Apple provides it to us without identifying you.

7The Saycap Watermark

Videos exported with the free version show a small “Saycap” label in a corner. It is a visible label only: it contains no identifier, tracking code or information about you. Saycap Pro removes it.

8What We Do Not Collect

• No advertising identifiers (IDFA), no ad networks and no ads.
• No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
• No data sold or shared with data brokers.

9Your Data and Deletion

• You can delete any video inside the app (press and hold it, then Delete).
• Deleting the app deletes all of its videos and captions from your device. Videos you saved to Photos or shared stay where you put them.
• Because we never receive your videos, there is nothing of yours on our side to delete.

10Children

Saycap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
