1Fuel Economy
How is fuel economy calculated?
Logbay uses the full-tank method. Between two fill-ups where you filled the tank, the fuel you added (every fill-up after the first full one, up to and including the second) is divided by the distance you drove between them. This is the most reliable way to measure real consumption, so your first full fill-up only sets the starting point — economy appears from the second full fill-up on.
What if I did not fill the tank?
Turn off “Filled the tank” when you log a partial fill-up. The fuel is still counted, and it is added into the next segment that ends with a full tank, so the average stays correct. Partial fill-ups are marked in the vehicle's history.
I forgot to log a fill-up. What do I do?
On your next fill-up, turn on “Missed a previous fill-up”. Logbay then knows the chain is broken and skips that segment instead of showing a wrong number. Economy is calculated again from the next full fill-up.
2Maintenance Reminders
How do reminders work?
A reminder can have a distance (or engine-hours) interval, a time interval in months, or both. When both are set, it is due at whichever comes first — for example every 10,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Logging the service resets it from that point.
3Purchases
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Open Logbay, go to the Pro screen or Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to a Logbay account — there is none.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled entirely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4Your Data
How do I export my data?
You can export your log as a CSV file at any time from inside the app. Exporting is always free and works with spreadsheets such as Numbers, Excel and Google Sheets.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. Logbay has no account and no server, so we never receive your vehicles, fill-ups, services or expenses. Receipt and dashboard photos are read on your device and stay there.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app deletes all of its data from your device permanently. Export a CSV first if you want to keep a copy. We never had your data, so nothing remains with us.
